So whether we're creating a dinner for 1000 people or preparing a sandwich for a student to buy in one of our outlets, you can be sure you're getting the very best of what we offer.

WHO WE ARE
Hospitality Services provides a first-class service and is run by industry professionals. We employ over 100 staff and work closely with other university faculties and departments to ensure that all events, eateries, catering etc represent best value for students, staff and the public and reflect positively on the university brand. We also work with students giving them experience in commercial hospitality through internships, graduate programmes and as event volunteers. We're committed to encouraging healthy eating and providing nutritious choices for all ethnicities and dietary needs.
Sustainability is very important to AUT and Hospitality Services introduce a new initiative each year to reduce our impact on the environment and meet our sustainability goals. Some of these initiatives have included food waste separation, compostable takeaway containers, university run beehives, vertical herb gardens, the elimination of single-use plastics and the sourcing of local produce to reduce our carbon footprint.

Fairfield Conference 2019
Thank you so much to you and your team for hosting the Fairfield Conference so well. Yes, there was a wonderful atmosphere and it all did run wonderfully smoothly. Phillip on the tech side of things was so helpful and his camera man colleague was just great! The food was generous and delicious and your colleague, Ajit (sic) who oversaw things there was so helpful and met all our needs. We were very pleased with how the whole conference ran and we really appreciated the wrap around services provided by AUT! It all made my life so much easier.

We are writing to express our gratitude for the outstanding job Glen Bailey did in ensuring that the recent Internation Gambling Conference ran smoothly. The biennial conference has been held at AUT since 2014 and is a significant event for the whole event sector, locally and internationally. As with any conference, there is a considerable amount of work that goes into planning and resourcing of an event this size. This year was particularly challenging as we didn't have a project manager so we relied on Glen to cover many of those additional tasks.
