The AUT Hospitality Services events team consists of experienced and passionate event coordinators, based on site at AUT.  Regardless of the size or type of event you wish to organise, the team will work with you to ensure all elements of your event are delivered on budget and above expectations.

We will suggest suitable venues, provide AV quotes, ensure your guests enjoy delicious catering and delight them with entertainment and fabulous theming if required.

We offer a complete event management service and will manage all logistics before the event and on the day, so you can enjoy the experience while mixing and mingling with your VIP guests.

All services are coordinated from a central point with an all-inclusive quote, no hidden extras.

Venue hire for all sizes

Having the luxury of over 600 bookable spaces across 3 campuses in Auckland, our team will find you that perfect venue, be it a classroom for a workshop, 400 seater lecture theatre for your plenary session or a bbq and pool booking for that summer outing.

Wifi Internet access is available across the whole University and, in most cases, our buildings are equipped with fibre optic networks supplying ultra-fast connectivity. This allows us to supply full live streaming services.

The AUT City Campus is home to the popular Sir Paul Reeves Building, City Conference Centre and the brand new Nga Wai Hono building known as WZ. These state of the art buildings have magnificent foyer spaces to use for social events or exhibition spaces.   The campus is located just minutes from Queen Street and close to parking, public transport and a variety of accommodation options.

AUT North campus is located ideally within easy distance to the motorway and is only 15 minutes from the City Centre. The Conference Centre here has two lecture theatres that can accommodate 150 and 300 people, with an open foyer for exhibitions and cocktail functions and a north-facing courtyard.The campus also has an indoor sports stadium for even larger functions.

The jewel in the crown, the South Campus boasts the University’s award-winning Mana Hauora building with its blend of digitally enhanced formal and informal spaces. Set in beautiful landscaped parkland, the AUT South Campus is close to public transport and adjacent to the Manukau CBD, and combines the buzz of a modern university campus with the opportunity for quiet reflection.

Also based at the South Campus is the Manukau Conference Centre which provides great natural light as well as black-out ability. The Conference Centre offers inbuilt AV equipment and lighting options as well as accommodating up to 150 guests. The Conference Centre can also be split into three smaller, separate rooms.

Online registration

Online delegate registration allows your guests to register and pay to attend your event. You supply us with the information you would like us to capture, details, organisation and a draft of your event programme etc. and a registration process is set up along with details of payment and methods of how your delegates are able to pay online. Charges for registrations are tailor made to suit your requirements.

Full website and app design and development

AUT Hospitality Service also offers website design and development services. From a basic website to a full conference website, we work diligently with our clients to understand your event brief and present a website which is concentrated on the main theme. We can also offer a one stop shop in supplying an interactive app for your event or a conference. There are many features to choose from to ensure a successful and informed event.

Speaker and abstract management

We can manage your speakers and abstracts for your conference. Speaker management can include flights, airport transfers, hotel accommodation and bespoke gifts. Managing your conference abstracts from creation, submissions, reviewing and formatting for publication and program content.

Electronic direct mail (EDM) delivery

Electronic Mail Delivery allows you to market your event through a series of emails, to a list of guests you would like to attend. We can send by email a save the date, actual invites and a series of reminders. This is really a cost effective service and worth looking into to ensure your guests are well informed of the pending event.

The AUT Hospitality Services catering team have a unique and flexible approach to every event, delivering a wide range of catering solutions to serve the diverse needs of our clients.

The catering team are industry professionals, dedicated to consistently providing the highest quality food and beverages, as well as providing exceptional service.

We can offer catering at external venues around Auckland or on-site at many of AUT's facilities. Be it a small gathering, a gala event, conference, awards dinner or a team building day, your catering needs will be met by our professional team.

All our food is prepared fresh on site each day by our expert culinary team and covers the ever changing dietary desires.

We offer food and beverage matched themed events to add that something special and impress your international guests, giving them a traditional taste of what New Zealand has to offer.

We offer two catering options to suit all budgets:

  • Full service catering packages for events or functions (including staffing, linen, crockery and venue set up)
  • Catering only (dropped off to you in biodegradable and compostable  packaging)

Our internal AUT customers can now order catering online to be delivered for your next meeting or event.

Audio visual services

The AUT Hospitality Services Audio Visual team brings innovative, creative concepts to life for corporate events. We can provide audio and visual setups, equipment and technical support for gala dinners, awards nights, product launches, special occasions and events, road shows and conferences.

The Hospitality Services AV team proudly manages the annual AUT ROOKIE fashion show using tons of rigging, light and sound equipment. The team can also provide an interactive audience experience using our branded AUT catchboxes as microphones during Q & A sessions.
